We've shipped Ember, a new game platform for long-distance couples aged 18-30. The app is designed to provide a dedicated 2-player co-op experience.
Ember allows partners to pair using a single invite code. Gameplay involves taking turns through narrative co-op mini-campaigns during the day, each designed for approximately 10 minutes of engagement. These campaigns lead to a synchronous finale played during a 'Date Night' with P2P voice chat.
One subscription covers both partners. Additional features include a private chat for sending love notes on handwritten stationery, a shared photo and note memory wall with AI weekly recaps, weekly date-night streaks, and anniversary mechanics. The turn engine is server-authoritative, ensuring that only the active partner can advance the story and validating choices against an in-code catalog.
The free version includes 2 campaigns and 7 days of history. Premium, priced at $7.99/month or $59.88/year, offers access to the full library, voice chat, unlimited history, and AI recaps.
