I've shipped a new tool, the Subtle Stressor Self-Assessment. This is a prompt template designed to guide self-reflection. Its purpose is to help individuals identify various life areas that might be contributing to burnout, even when their visible workload appears to be low.
Often, burnout isn't solely a result of an overwhelming task list. There can be hidden energy drains, unaddressed stressors, or insufficient recovery practices that silently deplete resources. This self-assessment aims to bring those less obvious factors to light.
The template provides a structured approach to examining different aspects of one's life. It prompts users to consider areas beyond just work tasks, such as personal obligations, environmental factors, or unmet needs, that might be contributing to a state of exhaustion. The goal is to offer a framework for uncovering these subtle stressors and identifying where recovery might be lacking.
