What are your goals for week 30 of 2024?

It's week 30 of 2024. It's still hot here.

What are your goals for the week?

  • What are you building?
  • What will be a good result by week's end?
  • What events are happening this week?
    • any suggestions for in person or virtual events?
  • Any special goals for the quarter?

Last Week's Goals

Last week was a short week, no local events. Didn't plan out too much for the week expected most people would be off Thursday and Friday.

  • [✅] Continue Job Search. Applied, after multiple email request joined the Talent pool of a local company. They should have already had all my info but I think they switched to a new system.
I've interviewed a few times with them but it never worked out. Wasn't gonna bother anymore but gave in on recent email.

  • [✅] Project work.

  • [❌] Blog.

  • Events.

    • [❌] Only local event is breakfast downtown. And morning rush hour stinks.
    • GitHUb had an open source Friday stream with OhMyPosh
  • [✅] Run a goal setting thread on Virtual Coffee Slack.

  • [✅] Build some LEGO sets

This Week's Goals [UPDATED]

I going try updated these during the week or on Friday instead waiting till the next week.

  • Continue Job Search.
  • [✅] Project work. working on a React-Native photo project.
  • Blog.
  • Events.

    • Tuesday A11y Talks 12EDT A11y Talk EDIT: Rescheduled to next week, July 31, 1pm ET
    • [✅] Tuesday CSS Grid First 1EDT CSS Grid

EDIT Two events and the same time will probably do A11y talk. When two things are at same time I see what more interesting and what networking is available. Both are these are on YouTube so there may be some chat, but not much networking.

  • [✅] Tuesday Dallas Software * EDT (virtual) Great event on .Net. SHould be on YouTube soon.
  • Wednesday event postponed till next week.
    • [✅] Run a goal setting thread on Virtual Coffee Slack.
    • Build some LEGO sets
