What are your goals for week 48 of 2024?

It's week 48 of 2024. It's Thanksgiving in the US. Many US developers will have a short week. Others will be working or on call for emergencies.

School is out all week here. That is new, previous years they went Monday and Tuesday maybe half day Wednesday. But things change.

What are your goals for the week?

This Week's Goals

• Continue Job Search. Look early in the week. but don't expect to talk to anyone after Wednesday.
• Project work.
• Blog. Finish blogs I started last week.
• Events.
  • Holiday week don't expect anything is happening.
  • Thursday Virtual Coffee on Thanksgiving. maybe to see friends while stuff is cooking really not sure.
  • Watch Turkeys away episode of W-K-R-P. and the Cheers Food fight episode.
• Run a goal setting thread on Virtual Coffee(VC) Slack.
• November is Virtual Coffee's blogging challenge. As a group we are aiming to write 50,000 words.
  • My personal goal is to beat my word count from last year. Count to beat is 5,517. I need to blog more often. Looking for inspiration.
  • Work on resetting garage from water heater leak.

How I did last week

• [✅] Continue Job Search. Applied and networked.
• Project work.
• Blog. I did not publish any blogs but am working on two.
• Events.
  • [✅] Creativity event. I think most of it is prerecorded but there are some live panels.
    • I attended this, three days of prerecorded talks they dropped a set each day to watch whenever you could. Plus two live panels. It was not really tech related so I only watch a few thing each day. hoping for tips for selling digital content.
  • Thursday Virtual Coffee Nope water heater went out Wednesday and they were replacing it Thursday. So I spent the wed/thursday moving stuff and trying to dry out the garage.
