What are your goals for week 41? Hacktoberfest! {Updated}

It's week 41 of 2024. HacktoberFest is running, have you found an open source project to contribute to? It is also fall break here. The kid is at home so family lunch meeting all week.

What are your goals for the week?

  • What will be a good result by week's end?
  • What in person or virtual events are happening this week?

This Week's Goals {Updated}

I'm going to try to update these during the week or on Friday instead waiting till the next week. I'll add {UPDATED} as I go.

  • Continue Job Search.
    • [✅] Climatebase Job fair Wednesday. Need to research their job listings. * Listened to people talk about their companies, made some connections, and applied.
  • Project work.
    • Make some CSS Halloween art
    • Content update
  • Blog.
  • [✅] Find Project(s) to contribute to for Hacktoberfest. * 1 PR has matured, and 2nd had been accepted, 3rd and 4th commits have been submitted. #3 Said they needed help, and have been active this week. but have older message they've not replied to. I just submitted PR #4.
  • Events.
    • [❌]Thursday Virtual Coffee NOPE doing Fall break stuff
  • [✅]Run a goal setting thread on Virtual Coffee(VC) Slack.
  • Virtual Coffee Challenge is HacktoberFest. I need to find some projects to help.
  • [✅] Side project take some pictures
  • Decorate Yard for Halloween
