It's week 39 of 2024.

What are your goals for the week?

  • What are you building?
  • What will be a good result by week's end?
  • What in person or virtual events are happening this week?

This Week's Goals

I'm going to try to update these during the week or on Friday instead waiting till the next week. I'll add {UPDATED} as I go.

  • Continue Job Search.
    • [✅] Online Job Fair Thursday. Need to research the companies that are attending once they drop that information.
  • Project work.
  • Blog.
  • [✅] Work on DEV Challenges. Due the 29th. completed 1 of the challenges. Did some coding for the other challenge make a game. But most free time was spent on preparing for job fair.
  • Events.
    • [✅] Dallas Software developers (virtual) Night of Java * Short meeting. One of the speaker's flight got delayed.
    • Thursday Zapier event (This runs till right before job fair, will leave early to prep)
    • [✅] Thursday Online Job Fair * Virtual Job fair was busy. It was also disappointing. One of the companies I talked to said the positions were had offers pending. Then why list them on the Job fair page?
  • [✅] Run a goal setting thread on Virtual Coffee(VC) Slack.
  • Virtual Coffee Challenge. We're getting ready for HacktoberFest. Helping contributors and maintainers prepare for the event.
  • [✅] Side project take some pictures
