What are your goals for the week? #115

It's the last week of February. Hopefully Spring weather gets here soon. Last week was cold and snowy.

Schools were only open two days last week. Closed President's Day, Open Tuesday, closed for snow Wednesday, still closed Thursday. It was single digits during school commute time, roads were still icy in spots. Supposedly only one district in the state was open Thursday. My son's school reopened Friday but the more rural areas were still closed. It was still cold.

Watched two virtual conventions during the snow but didn't bother to blog on them. I will do better this week for Axe-Con.

  • Thursday Virtual Coffee * Depends on Axe-con Schedule. What's on at 11:00 CDT.
• Run a goal setting thread on Virtual Coffee(VC) Slack.
• Virtual Coffee's challenge for the quarter is "From Idea to Stage!" for February, we're working on writing a Call for Proposals.

How I did last week

• Continue Job Search.
  • ✅ Network, Send emails. * Sent some emails zero response, talked to a couple recruiters. Applied to a couple places.
  • Create Content Calendar.
• ✅ Project work.
  • Content update on a couple sites.
  • Worked on building a blog. But I don't think this set up will allow me to easily add new posts.

• Work on DEV's Frontend Challenge * Have not chosen a subject. Git Blame to the snow, messing up my schedule.
• Events.
  • ✅ Thursday-Friday HashiTalks
  • Thursday Dallas Software Developers (Night of AI) * Same time as Hockey. Couldn't watch speakers and game at same time.
  • ✅ Thursday NHL 4 Nations final.
  • Thursday Virtual Coffee.
